Wedding at San Clemente Shore by Wedgewood Weddings
Mariah and Roger’s wedding at the beautiful San Clemente Shore, one of my favorite Wedgewood wedding venues in Southern California, blended an elegant coastal aesthetic with personal touches.
And because every love story needs an obstacle to overcome, we began the day with flash flood warnings, due to a rare tropical storm. (When I say rare, I mean rare—San Clemente, just an hour north of San Diego, has famously perfect weather nearly year-round.)
So as the couple got dressed and enjoyed their morning hours with their families and wedding parties at the Hampton Inn & Suites San Clemente, the awesome Wedgewood staff prepared for the possibility of moving the ceremony indoors.
Luckily, the storm held off, as the guests arrived in San Clemente Shore’s eucalyptus tree-lined outdoor ceremony space, tucked into a corner of the golfing green. And as they said their vows, the air began to cool and the sunset light glowed behind them.
After the ceremony, we took photos with their wedding parties and family members before sending them off to enjoy cocktail hour on the patio of the venue, while I stole the couple away for a romantic portrait session at the San Clemente State Beach (where the beach crowds cheered them on—we love to see it!).
The reception space was decorated with tall, elegant floral centerpieces, and after dinner, the night quickly turned into an epic dance party (which, if you ask me, is the best way for a wedding to end).
We absolutely loved capturing Mariah and Roger’s Southern California wedding at San Clemente Shore by Wedgewood and hope to return again to do more wedding photography and videography!

Getting Married at San Clemente Shore by Wedgewood Weddings
San Clemente is sometimes called the “Spanish village by the sea,” and Wedgewood’s San Clemente Shore venue is fittingly in the Spanish-estate style that is just so Southern California, with a relaxed elegance that harmonizes with the surrounding palm trees and the beaches just minutes away. It’s the perfect choice for a destination wedding, as it (usually!) has incredible weather, and the charming town looks like it comes straight off a postcard from SoCal.
