Post-Wedding Photo Session in Downtown Los Angeles
Editorial, Natural Light Portraits
Ongell and Ramond are couple with a strong, fashion-forward viewpoint. Instead of an engagement session, they were drawn to the idea of celebrating their marriage with portraits in a beautiful, natural light studio in Downtown Los Angeles. Having already exchanged their vows and begun their journey as newlyweds, they saw a post-wedding session as an opportunity to document their bond in a context that is authentic to their aesthetic and creative vision.

What Is a Post-Wedding Photoshoot?
Also known as “day-after” photoshoots, post-wedding photography sessions offer newlyweds the opportunity to capture portraits after their wedding day. These sessions have gained in popularity for brides and grooms who prefer to take their portraits in a more relaxed and controlled environment, free from the pressures and constraints of a wedding day timeline.
Wedding day schedules and timelines can be quite tight, and choosing to take formal newlywed portraits the day or week after the event can take the pressure off the couple, allowing them to enjoy the moment on their wedding day and then fully immerse and enjoy the photo session separately.
Beyond the practical benefits, post-wedding photography sessions can be a creative outlet for couples with a unique aesthetic and vision, like Ongell and Ramond, both of whom work in editorial fashion. When the photo session is separated from the wedding day and venue, we’re able to choose the perfect location, lighting, and poses that reflect the couple’s aesthetic and preferences, resulting in images that capture the true essence of their relationship.
