Designing Your Wedding Album

In this digital age, where most of our photos end up stored in the depths of our smartphones, there is nothing quite like preserving our most important memories in a physical form. Wedding albums are heirlooms, something tangible that we can feel, hold, and pass around a living room during family gatherings and on to future generations. It’s not just a collection of photographs; it’s a keepsake, a meticulously curated collection that tells the story of your wedding.

When it comes to preserving your wedding memories, a professionally designed and printed album holds incredible value. Investing in one not only ensures the longevity of your memories but also enhances the overall experience of your wedding journey. From the excitement of selecting your favorite photos to collaborating with a professional designer to create a layout that tells your story, the process of creating a wedding album becomes an extension of your wedding story that you can enjoy for years to come.

At Pamela Tatz Photography, I offer two options for building wedding albums: You work with me to design your album professionally or you can use the built-in album designer in your Pic-Time gallery.

Professional Wedding Album Design

I love working with my couples on their wedding albums! First of all, I usually don’t get to talk to my couples after their wedding and reminisce (except when we grab the occasional coffee), so getting to meet up with them again for our design meeting is always fun for me.

Here’s how it works, in two steps.

Step One: Make Your Selections

Once you tell me that you’re interested in designing an album, I’ll open up an Album Selects option in your wedding gallery, and you’ll be able to pick all of your favorite images. Don’t worry too much about picking too many photos—seeing which photos are your favorites is helpful to me, and if there are three of the same type of image, I’ll know that you probably just want one of them in the album. Not every single photo will make it into the final album, but I’ll give you options in the design, and the final choices will be yours.

Here is a video from Pic-Time showing how you’ll make selections.

Step Two: Proofing via a Zoom Meeting

After I receive your selections, I’ll draft an album design. Once it’s done, I’ll send it to you for you to review, and we’ll schedule a Zoom meeting to go over it and finalize your wedding album.

Here’s a video from Pic-Time showing what the album proofing looks like.

Design Rate

My rate for designing a wedding album is $200 (which is a separate charge from the actual album).

Designing Your Own Wedding Album

If you feel comfortable putting together your own album, you can definitely do so! One word of caution, though: A high-quality wedding album is a fairly large investment, and the cost of making a mistake in your design is something to take into consideration. Having me design your album is an additional cost ($200 more), but it could save you from the risk of errors in the final wedding album.

Here is a video from Pic-Time walking through the process of designing your own album using their built-in album designer, which will be available to you in your gallery store.
