Indian-Korean Wedding Details | Bride and Groom Getting Ready

The day began at a nearby hotel, where Priya, adorned with henna by Henna by Sanjana and beautiful makeup by Kelly Zhang Studio, had her saree draped professionally by Henna by Amita. Meanwhile, Daniel was also surrounded and supported by his family and best friends a he prepared for the big day.

Private First Look at a Lodge at Malibou Lake Wedding

After arriving at the Lodge at Malibou Lake, the couple shared a private first look by the lake across the road before gathering their wedding party and families together for group photos.

Outdoor Garden Wedding Ceremony with Indian-Korean Wedding Traditions

The wedding ceremony (filmed on video by Pamela Tatz Photography) contained beautiful and thoughtful elements of the couple’s individual backgrounds. Reflecting the groom’s Korean culture, the couple’s mothers began the wedding ceremony by lighting a single candle together, representing the two families uniting. And reflecting the bride’s Indian culture, the couple exchanged flower garlands.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, the reflections off the calm water created a magical glow—the perfect backdrop for portraits of the newlyweds that felt like the start of something extraordinary.

A Lighthearted Garden Cocktail Hour

Under the warm California sun, the wedding guests enjoyed a laid-back garden cocktail hour complete with yard games like cornhole, laughter, and clinking glasses. The sweet smell of flowers and spring grasses filled the air, while guests enjoyed delicious drinks and appetizers by Chef Cordelia.

The reception, designed impeccably by amazing wedding planner Taryn Collins, was adorned with roses in shades of pink by Flowers by Lady Buggs, pies from North Hollywood’s Republic of Pie, and a classic modern tablescape with furniture from A Rental Connection. DJ Zooz from Second Song kept the dance floor moving into the night.
