McCormick Home Ranch: A Picturesque Wedding Venue

Tucked away in the heart of Camarillo, McCormick Home Ranch is an idyllic setting for couples who want to celebrate their love under sunny skies and in lush gardens. Built in 1918 and surrounded by miles of farmland, the wood-framed Colonial main house and charming gardens make this venue the very definition of rustic chic.

A Bride Getting Ready with Her Bridesmaids

Jessica’s mother and bridesmaids kept the mood joyful as they helped her prepare for the day—buttoning her dress, helping her put on her jewelry, and sharing laughter that was as warm as the Southern California sun. Dressed in a romantic lace gown, Jessica looked a character straight out of a Jane Austen novel.

Brick Patio Cocktail Hour

Immediately after the ceremony, guests enjoyed a relaxed cocktail hour on the brick patio behind the historic McCormick Home Ranch building. As the wedding guests enjoyed the laid-back ambiance, the wedding party and couple’s family took group photos with me and the couple in the garden behind the ceremony space.

Newlywed Portraits in the Garden and Strawberry Fields

One of the highlights of photographing weddings at the McCormick Home Ranch is the easy access to Camarillo’s charming countryside. We explored the venue’s gardens and made our way behind the main building, where the grounds expand into a working farm filled with strawberry plants.

Outdoor Wedding Reception

As the sun dipped below the horizon, the celebration shifted back to the ranch for an outdoor reception under sparkling string lights. Long farmhouse tables were decorated simply, with elegant white linens and pink table settings, and guests mingled among hanging lanterns. The toasts and prayers were heartfelt, reflecting the couple’s shared faith and how many lives they’ve touched. The night ended with dancing beneath the stars.
