A & B’s engagement session at Leo Carrillo State Beach in Malibu was free-flowing, dynamic, and candid. We took a natural, unposed approach, where I gave the couple ideas and activities and then photographed their natural chemistry. The results were incredibly romantic.

When it comes to breathtaking locations for engagement sessions in Los Angeles County, few places rival the natural beauty and romantic ambiance of Leo Carrillo State Beach. Nestled along the stunning coastline of Southern California, this picturesque beach offers an idyllic backdrop for couples seeking to capture their love story against wind-swept grass fields, crashing waves on sand, and majestic rock formations.

Our pets are our family, and A & B wanted to honor their connection with their dog in their engagement session. Including her in their photos was a joy, and as a pet-friendly photographer, I am always happy to see a furry friend join us for our photography adventure.

If you’re considering bringing your dog to your own engagement session, I’d recommend choosing a location that you know is dog friendly (such as Leo Carrillo State Beach). It’s also always a good idea to bring their favorite toys and treat. If at all possible, I’d always recommend bringing either a helper to handle your dog (B’s brother came along), especially for when you want to just take photos of the two of you.
