Pasadena City Hall Engagement Photoshoot

A day after our Griffith Observatory photoshoot, I met up with J & J on a crisp, quiet Saturday morning at Pasadena City Hall for the second part of their engagement session.

It had rained overnight and parts of the courtyard were off limits, but a friendly security guard guided us to dry areas.

Pro tip: If you’re interested in shooting your engagement photos at Pasadena City Hall (which I highly recommend!), your photographer won’t need a permit if you schedule your session on a weekend. However, weekends can get pretty busy, so if at all possible, I’d recommend either hiring a photographer with a permit and scheduling your session for a weekday (photographers like myself who obtain a license to operate their business in the city of Pasadena can shoot there any day of the week, as long as the City Hall isn’t hosting a private event) or choosing a sunrise session, like this one.

I can’t wait to photograph J & J’s intimate wedding later this summer. In the meantime, please enjoy some selections from the beautiful gallery that resulted from our photography at Pasadena City Hall.
