Griffith Park Engagement at Cedar Grove | Colin & Kristen
As in any good slow-burn romantic comedy, Colin and Kristen’s love story began in the wings of their college theater department, where they became inseparable best friends during a production. For a decade, their friendship spanned cities and even coasts—until fate brought them back to Los Angeles, where friendship finally blossomed into romance.
A Proposal at Cedar Grove in Griffith Park
When it came time for Colin to propose, there was only one place that felt right—Cedar Grove in Griffith Park, Kristen’s favorite spot in the city. The couple hiked with their dogs to the quiet cove, laid out a picnic blanket, and looked out over sweeping Los Angeles views. It was there, surrounded by nature and love, that Colin asked Kristen to marry him.
Recreating the Magic for Their Engagement Session
For their engagement session, we returned to Cedar Grove to honor that moment. The park was awash in cheerful yellow blooms, creating the most joyful and romantic setting. Colin and Kristen shared a picnic in the same spot where they got engaged, laughed together under the trees, and soaked in the golden California light.
It was such a privilege to capture these moments for a couple whose connection has been years in the making. If you’d like to see where this love story led, you can explore their cozy Lord of the Rings–inspired backyard wedding.
