A Summertime Cabrillo Pavilion Wedding | Guadalupe & Julian

Some love stories feel like they were always meant to circle back to the same place. For Guadalupe and Julian, that place is the Pacific ocean—in front of which he first asked her to be his girlfriend, and years later, to be his wife. Their Cabrillo Pavilion wedding in Santa Barbara echoed that same sense of full-circle romance, with ocean views, thoughtful details, and the kind of golden summer you can only find by the ocean.

Guadalupe & Julian’s Story

It all began with a swipe, a basketball emoji, and a conversation that fizzled—only to be reignited years later when Guadalupe posted about an unexpected visit to Seal Beach (“where are the animals?!”). Julian’s reply, recommending she head to La Jolla to see the real seals, led to a conversation that never stopped.

Julian’s proposal was an intentional call-back. On the way to what Guadalupe thought was a birthday party, he suggested a quick stop at Mount Soledad in La Jolla. They ended up at “their bench,” reminiscing about their journey together. As the sun dipped low, Julian pulled out a ring and asked her to marry him.

A Beach Wedding Ceremony in Santa Barbara

On a warm August afternoon, Guadalupe and Julian married at Cabrillo Pavilion. The ceremony unfolded right on the sand, framed by the soft shimmer of the Pacific and the joy of their friends and family, including their two children.

Afterwards, the guests enjoyed a lively cocktail hour featuring food by El Zarape—the perfect pairing for a summer beach wedding. Inside Cabrillo Pavilion, the reception space came alive with a navy and dusty blue color palette.

As the sun began to set, we slipped away to the shoreline. The golden light, the rolling waves, and the couple’s easy affection made for portraits that felt like they were straight out of a movie—cinematic frames of a love that’s already weathered seasons together.
