On a hot mid-August day, Celine, Josef, and all of their favorite people gathered to witness the couple’s marriage at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Pasadena, California, and then to celebrate at their Altadena Town & Country Club wedding reception.
Celine and Josef are incredibly warm, generous of spirit, and hilarious, and they’re both medical professionals who devote their lives to helping others. They are the best kind of people.
The day began at the home that the couple recently purchased together, where Celine and her bridesmaids got ready in their new living room. Spending her wedding day morning in her new home was a beautiful way to incorporate and honor this new chapter in their lives.
Meanwhile, the groom Josef arrived at Altadena Town & Country Club with his groomsmen, who helped him prepare for the day. Shortly thereafter, Celine made her way to the venue, and the couple shared an emotional and private first look, after which we took the opportunity to take photos with their wedding party.
The couple wed at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in nearby Pasadena, California, in a traditional Catholic wedding mass with Filipino traditions, including the veil and cord, gold coins, and lighting a unity candle.
When we returned to Altadena Country Club after the ceremony, the couple stepped into the garden for family portraits, and the rest of their guests enjoyed cocktail hour. Meanwhile, their wedding coordinator from Valentine Entertainment set up their reception space, which included a gorgeous watercolor-inspired cake by Jaqki’s Cake Creations. From the parent dances to sunset romantics, and then onto a lively dance floor, the newlyweds celebrated late into the night with their loved ones.
